Step by Step Institute’s overall aim is to enrich the lives of children with special needs, to embrace their creativity and future aspirations in order for them to thrive in their surrounding community. The institute which is located in Abu-Hamour offers a safe, interactive and creative environment that welcomes children from 3 to 18 years of age from different nationalities, inspired by the rich culture in Qatar. Our all encompassing and holistic assessment, education and therapy approach is tailored to each individual’s needs and abilities and is delivered by a highly skilled and experienced team including special education teachers, speech and occupational therapists, physiotherapists and psychotherapists.
We view education in its widest sense as we educate and support each individual as a whole person within the context of their family and community life. Each and every aspect of learning such as daily living skills, independence, communication and socialization skills is valued and addressed. These are all part of the educational curriculum that is taught alongside the attainment of appropriate academic skills. In short at Step by Step Institute we apply the ‘Whole life approach’.
